NEW COMANCHE DICTIONARY.  Compiled entirely by Comanche people, it has over 6,000 Comanche words with Comanche to English and English to Comanche sections.  $30 plus $5 s&h.

COMANCHE LESSONS, set #1.   A set of four Comanche Lessons, complete with a word list for each  lesson, accompanied by a CD.  $20 plus $5 s&h.

PICTURE DICTIONARY.  Developed as a primer for learning the language, this 26 page booklet explains the Comanche Alphabet and the sound of each letter.  It give an example of simple words and brief sentences (in Comanche), using those words.  Includes an English to Comanche vocabulary list and a CD.  $15 includes s&h.

1957 Relocation of the Post Oak Indian Cemetery, by Barbara and Kenneth Goodin.  $12 plus $2.50 postage.  (46 pages lists the names of 757 persons buried near the foothills of the Wichita Mountains.  In 1957, due to the expansion of a military installation, the cemetery was relocated and the remains were re-interred into three other cemeteries.  Lists the person’s location in the original cemetery, their name and birth and death date, cause of death, and name of cemetery to which they were moved.)

Index to Sam DeVenney’s Comanche, Kiowa and Apache Obituaries With Death Dates, by Paul Follett.  $12 plus $2.50 postage.  (Alphabetical list of 2300 names with the date of death.  Actual obituaries were photo copied from area newspapers and are compiled into four  volumes, which are housed in the Research Room of the Lawton Public Library.)

Please Note: Because of a special agreement with the authors of many of these  books and the Southwest Oklahoma Genealogical Society (S.W.O.G.S.), proceeds from the sale of these books goes back into buying more Indian material for the Lawton Public Library’s Research Room.  (Primarily Kiowa, Comanche and Apache material.)  The Library’s Indian collection of books, microfilm and documents is second only to those of the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City, OK.
